It is necessary to have clear views for this procedure. Therefore, it is important that you do not have anything to eat for at least six hours before the test. Small amounts of water are safe up to two hours before the test. If your appointment is in the morning, have nothing to eat after midnight but you may have a drink at 6.00am.
