(Agenda/Product) Monday Sept 17 1 The student demonstrates knowledge of various Communication processes in professional and social contexts. The student is expected to: (B) identify the components of the Communication process and their functions; (G) identify the components of the listening process ; Listening is at least AS important as speaking in the Communication process . It does not come natural, but we can get better at it by understanding how it happens and practicing specific skills to improve it. 1. Journal Topic: do you do it?

Given a section Chapter 4, each student will read, outline, and create a brief outline of the information. Continuing to work on the assigned passage from chapter 4, each student will create a presentation which hi-lights the key points, and provides real-life application of the information presented regarding the listening process . Wednesday Sept 19 4. The student makes and evaluates formal and informal professional presentations. The student is expected to: (D) use effective strategies to organize and outline presentations; (E) use information effectively to support and clarify points in presentations; (F) prepare scripts or notes for presentations; Listening is at least AS important as speaking in the Communication process . It does not come natural, but we can get better at it by understanding how it happens and practicing specific skills to improve it.
4 1. Equipped with note-cards, each student will present his own section of chapter4, while his classmates take notes of important terms and concepts. Thursday Sept 20 4.
