Students will learn the tenants of Project Management including feasi-bility and qualifying, to estimating and scheduling. An introduction to contracts and risk will be included in addition to preconstruction, scheduling work changes, and getting paid. 204 Contract Documents and Construction Law This course focuses on understanding the relationship between contract doc-uments and the Construction process. We explore contractual relationships, legal roles and responsibilities, and contract types.
2 Legal issues including reg-ulatory issues, liens, bonds, insurance, and standard forms will be studied. 108 Construction Equipment and Methods Develop an overall understanding of Construction equipment and selected Construction methods. Students will determine earthwork quantities, under-stand equipment economics and utilization, production rates, fundamentals of earthmoving and excavating, loading and hauling equipment. 205 Planning and Scheduling Learn about common Construction contract clauses and how to read a con-tract. Construction disputes, including differing site conditions, claims, delays and Construction defects will be studied.
3 305 Building Green Buildings: The Contractor s Perspective The purpose of this course is to provide Construction professionals with infor-mation that will help them to effectively bid, contract, build and close out green building projects.
