This application provides the bestdoor control for door in exterior walls that swing out of entire door closer and arm assemble project from theframe, similar to the regular arm application, where mattersof appearance and abuse can be of concern. Considerationmust be given to the depth of the reveal. For reveals excee-ding 27/8 top jamb extended is recommended. This is the only pull-side application where a double lever armis used. It is the most power efficient application for a doorcloser. Sufficient frame, door and/or ceiling clearance mustbe the arm assembly projects directly out from the frame,this application may present aesthetic issues and be subject toadditional maintenance. This application provides the most appealing design appea-rance for a surface -mounted door closer having a doublelever arm. This also makes it beneficial in abuse-proneareas.
5 It is on the push side of the door and the arm assem-bly extends almost parallel to the door. In the closed posi-tion, there is very little or no hardware projecting beyond theframe face in most situations. Due to the geometry of the arm it is approximately 25% lesspower efficient than a regular arm application. The entirecloser and arm assembly are mounted below the frame rail clearance dimensions will vary based on the type ofcover used.
