EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE TEST FOREIGN EDUCATION EVALUATION GUIDE (IF APPLICABLE)YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR READING THIS NOTICE IN ITS ENTIRETYBEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR THE JOB INVOLVES: Management Auditors under varying degrees of difficulty and latitude forindependent judgement, perform and/or supervise professional financial, operational, and management audits,including reviews of information technology (IT) systems, using statistical sampling techniques, financialanalyses and other data.

3 All Management Auditors perform related work(This is a brief description of what you might do in this position and does not include all the duties of thisposition.)THE SALARY: The current minimum salary is $50,623 per annum. This rate is subject to change. There are twoassignment levels within this class of positions. This guide gives important information about requesting analternate test date because of religious observance or special test accommodation for disability, claimingVeterans' or Legacy credit, and notifying DCAS of a change in your mailing address.

7 Follow all instructionson the Special Circumstances Guide that pertain to you when you complete your "Application for Examination."HOW TO QUALIFY: You may be given the test before we verify your qualifications. You are responsible fordetermining whether or not you meet the qualification requirements for this examination prior to submittingyour application. If you are marked "Not Qualified," your application fee will not be refunded and you will notreceive a and Experience baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 24semester credits in accounting, including one course each in: advanced accounting, auditing, and costaccounting; and one of the following: (A)one year of full-time satisfactory experience in management auditing, financialauditing, and/or information technology (IT) auditing.

8 Or(B)a valid Certified Public Accountant license issued by the new york State EducationDepartment; or(C)a valid Certified Internal Auditor certificate issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors(IIA); satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to "1" above. Education and/orexperience may be substituted as follows:(A)two years of full-time satisfactory experience in financial or managerial accountingmay be substituted for the one year of experience described in "1(A)" above;(B)undergraduate or graduate credits from an accredited college or university, inmanagement, computer science, public administration, and/or business administrationmay be substituted for up to 9 semester credits in accounting, on a credit for creditbasis.

9 However, all candidates must have a baccalaureate degree including or supplemented by 15 semestercredits in accounting, including one course each in advanced accounting, auditing, and cost accounting,and one of the following: at least one year of the experience described in "1(A)" above or its equivalent;or a Certified Public Accountant license; or a Certified Internal Auditor certificate, as described in"1(B)" or "1(C)" education requirement must be met by January 31, 2016. The experience and license requirement mustbe met by the last day of the Application Period (October 27, 2015).

10 You will not receive credit for educationwhich you obtain after January 31, 2016 or experience and license(s) which you obtain after the end of theApplication Period. The college or university must be accredited by regional, national, professional, or specialized agenciesrecognized as accredited bodies by the Secretary of Education and by the Council for Higher EducationAccreditation (CHEA).If you were educated outside the United States, you must have your foreign education evaluated to determineits equivalence to education obtained in the United States.
