6 This guide gives important information about requesting analternate test date because of religious observance or a special test accommodation for disability, claimingVeterans' or Legacy credit, and notifying DCAS of a change in your mailing address. Follow all instructionson the Special Circumstances Guide that pertain to you when you complete your "Application for Examination."Exam No. 5044 - Page 2 HOW TO QUALIFY: You may be given the test before we verify your qualifications. You are responsiblefor determining whether or not you meet the qualification requirements for this examination prior to submittingyour application.

7 If you are marked "Not Qualified," your application fee will not be refunded and you will notreceive a and Experience Requirements:1)A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and six months of satisfactory, full-timeexperience in research which involves gathering, organizing, and analyzing data and report writing; or2)An associate degree from an accredited college or completion of 60 semester credits at an accreditedcollege and two years and six months of full-time satisfactory experience as described in 1" above;or3)A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's DEPARTMENT ofEducation or a recognized accrediting organization and four years and six months of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in 1 above; or4) A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience that is equivalent to 1 2 or 3 college credit can be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits froman accredited college for one year of full-time experience.

8 Completion of nine semester credits, at theundergraduate or graduate level from an accredited college, in statistics, quantitative methods,mathematics, or research can be substituted for six months experience. However, all candidates musthave a four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least six months of requiredexperience or the nine specialized :See the Guide to Completing the Education and Experience Test on Page 4 for more information on howto complete your Education and Experience education requirement must be met by January 31, 2015. The experience requirement must be metby the last day of the Application high school diploma or its educational equivalent must be approved by a State's DEPARTMENT of Educationor a recognized accrediting organization.

9 The college or university must be accredited by regional, national,professional, or specialized agencies recognized as accrediting bodies by the Secretary of Education andby the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).If you were educated outside the United States, you must have your foreign education evaluated to determineits equivalence to education obtained in the United States. This is REQUIRED only if you need credit for yourforeign education in this must clearly specify in detail all of your relevant education and experience on your Education andExperience Test and submit it by the end of the application period.
