1 DuraVent Product Bulletin New DirectVent Pro Wall Thimble for 5x8 applications. Wall Thimbles allow for a complete wall pass through and firestop. Some appliance manufacturers require a greater top clearance on short runs with larger appliances. The new Wall Thimble will allow for a 3 top clearance and 1 clearance for sides and bottom from the pipe to framing. Refer to the appliance manufacturer s installation instructions for requirements.
