1 EEI Electronic Export Information Foreign Trade Regulations: Mandatory Automated Export Systems Filing for All Shipments Requiring Shipper's Export Declaration Information . On June 2, 2008, the Census Bureau issued the final rule amending Title 15, Code of Federal Regulations. Part 30, Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) in its entirety. This rule mandates Electronic filing of all shipments requiring Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) Information through the Automated Export System (AES) or through AES Direct by the Principle Party in Interest (USPPI) or its authorized agent. SED Name Change: SED Information filed to AES will now be known as Electronic Export Information (EEI). Paper SED Form: Under the new rule, the paper SED (Form 7525-V) cannot be filed under any circumstances. Final Rule Dates: Rule Effective Date: July 2, 2008. Rule Implementation Period: Begins July 2, 2008; Ends September 30, 2008.
