7 Meet with a counselor and complete an educational plan to identify classes that are required to complete your certificate, degree or transfer program. Registration is based on a priority system. Registration Priorities information is available online: STEPS TO ENROLLMENT 3 Completion of the Steps to Enrollment is required for priority registration AssistanceAll students are encouraged to apply for financial aid by visiting the Financial Aid Office webpage at studentservices/fao. Various links on pro-grams, services and other information are easily accessible for reference. California residents may wish to apply for a Board of Governor s Fee Waiver (BOGFW) to pay for their enrollment fees (Please see enclosed application on page 13).
8 Students are encouraged to complete the Free Ap-plication for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for all federal, state and institutional California Dream Act of 2011 became law through the passage of two Assembly bills, AB130 and AB131 that allow AB540 stu-dents to apply for financial aid. AB130 allows AB540 students to apply for institutional aid. AB131 allows AB540 students to apply for state-based financial California Dream Act Application is now available online at The California Dream Act Application allows students to apply for the BOGFW, Cal Grants, and Chafee for the Board of Gover-nor s Fee Waiver for AB540 Students: Be classified as AB540 by the Admissions & Records Office. Submit California Dream Act application or BOGFW application and required support-ing documents.

10 Winter 2018 Registration appointment information will be available online beginning November 15, 2017. Spring 2018 Registration appointment information will be avaialbe online beginning November 29, 2017 for Priority Levels 1 through 7 and 9. For students in Level 7 who apply after November 17, 2017, appointment informa-tion will be available within seven days of application submittal. See page 6 for Registration Priorities.
