1 Encompass Document Uploader ServiceThe following instructions will show you how to take advantage of the Encompass Document Uploader Service . The Service automates the process of scanning documents and uploading them to a specific Encompass loan fileutilizing the information contained on an Encompass Fax Coversheet. This feature has been installed on all ofthe Xerox Copiers within our system. While this is similar to what you have been doing with scanning to the R drive, there are some distinct advantages. To utilize the Encompass DocumentUploader Service you will first need anEncompass Fax Coversheet for the loan fileto which you want to upload documents. Toprint a Fax Coversheet, go to the subjectloan in Encompass . Select eFolder, selectDocuments from the top menu bar. SelectPrint Fax Coversheet from the dropdownlist. The coversheet is actually dual purpose.

2 We are going to use it for the DocumentUploader Service but it can also be used forfaxing documents to the eFolder. Place the coversheet on top of thedocuments you want to scan to a single fileand place them in the Document feeder(Landscape direction where the top of thedocument enters first).From the Xerox Copier Control panel selectNetwork the Network Scanning menu you willgenerally see only two options. To utilize theDocument Uploader Service , select the onelabeled This selection will sendthe scanned documents to the Uploader you have two sided documents you will have tochange 2 Sided Scanning to 2 the Start button to scan your Document (s).The Encompass Document Uploader Service is on a timedschedule. It sweeps every 5 minutes. You will receive anotification email when the upload is complete. Instructions in the email tell you to open the loan, click theeFolder button, and then click the Retrieve button.

3 Check the box next to your completed scan and click theDownload button at the bottom of this screen. This actionwill place the Document (s) in the Unassigned sectionunless the documents are Encompass generated withEncompass barcodes, in which case they will beautomatically assigned to the appropriate you are scanning documents, keep these things in mind. All Document (s) should be faced in the same direction. Place them in the Document feeder so that the top of the Document is to the left and enters first. Letter and legal-sized documents can be combined in the same scan. By default it will be a one-sided scan. If you have two-sided documents change to 2 Sided. Oversized documents should be reduced in size to letter or legal prior to scanning to Encompass . All documents placed under a single coversheet will be one Document in Encompass unless Encompassdocument barcodes are present.

4 If you perform a @Coversheet scan that doesn t include a coversheet, the documents will be automaticallydeleted and you will have to scan again with the coversheet. Be courteous, split and label combined documents. Be sure to view the documents in Encompass before returning or destroying the originals.
