8 If the original stamp in red does not appear on each page, this document is TEM-001 Rev 0 ECSA Policy/ProcedureSCHEDULEDEFINITIONSIn this Schedule,any word or expressiondefinedin the Act has that meaning,and,unlessthe contextotherwiseindicates:BuildingProjec t and Multi-Disciplinary Projectmeansa projectcomprisingbuildingwork or multi-disciplinary work,togetherwith its associatedengineeringwork, wheretheengineeris subjectto the authority of anotherprofessionalactingas the PrincipalAgentwhile financialand administrativemattersmay bedealt wi th byanotherprofessional,and where the engineer is onlypaid a fee based on the costs of a portion of meansany juristi c person ororgan of the State engaginga consultingengineerfor or Consultant,for purposesof theserules only, meansanyprofessionalregisteredin termsof the Act,or a juristicpersonwho employssuchprofessional.
9 Engagedby a clienton a processof administering the constructioncontractand over-seeingand/orinspectingthe works,to the extentof the consultingengineer'sengagement,for the purposeof verificationthat the worksare beingcompletedinaccordancewith the requirementsof the contractthat the designsare beingcorrectlyinterpretedand that appropriateconstructiontechniquesare beingutili sed. Constructionmonitoring,to whateverextent,doesnot diminishthe contractor'sresponsibilityforexecutingan d completingthe worksin accordancewith his personor a juristic personundercontractto a client to perform the worksor part of it on a project,includinga subcontractorundercontractto of the Worksmeansthe total final amount(or afair estimatethereof),exclusiveofvalueadded tax,certifiedor whichwould,normally,be certifiablefor paymenttoContractors(irrespective of who actuallycarriesout the works)in respectof the worksThis gazette is also available free online at No.
