1 ENVIRONMENTAL & ARCHAEOLOGICAL COORDINATOR Starting Salary: $62,062 - $75,000 Depending on Experience Salary Range: $62,062 - $93,093 First review of applications will be on Monday, J u l y 17, 2017. This position will be responsible for performing professional level duties in the promotion and management of various airport ENVIRONMENTAL and ARCHAEOLOGICAL issues and compliance programs, including air and water quality and cultural resources protection at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Specific duties: interprets, applies and enforces the provisions of ENVIRONMENTAL regulations and other applicable federal, state and local codes, laws, rules, regulations, specifications, standards, policies and procedures; requires considerable coordination with other governmental agencies; manages all of the Airport's ARCHAEOLOGICAL matters to ensure airport facilities are in compliance with federal, state and local ENVIRONMENTAL regulations, particularly the National ENVIRONMENTAL Policy Act of 1969 and its application to airport projects.

2 Coordinates with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) concerning all ARCHAEOLOGICAL testing and historical building maintenance; manages the Maricopa County Air Quality Permit for the Airport and performs necessary inspections and permit revisions; monitors ENVIRONMENTAL remediation projects being performed by the Department of Defense and others at the Airport; serves as the lead person of the Airport's pollution prevention team and its functions for compliance with the Arizona Pollution Discharge Elimination System ( azpdes ) multi - sector general Permit (MSGP 2010) for the Airport and its tenants; responsible for development and implementation of the Airport's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and control measures necessary for protection of storm water runoff from sector S (Air Transportation) facilities; coordinates/responds to various ENVIRONMENTAL audits/inspections; manages the implementation of the Airport's Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures plan (SPCC) for prevention, control and cleanup of petroleum releases from aviation fuel storage facilities; responsible for spill response and cleanup and regulatory agency reporting.

3 And conducts training to tenants and staff on ENVIRONMENTAL and ARCHAEOLOGICAL issues including pollution prevention, cultural resource protection and historical building maintenance. Incumbents may, as assigned, be responsible for project and team management requiring the development and recommendation of solutions, action plans for implementation and integration of solutions into the current business processes, and providing training for impacted staff. Minimum Qualification(s) Required: Bachelor's degree in a ENVIRONMENTAL Planning, ENVIRONMENTAL Science, ENVIRONMENTAL Engineering or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional level experience in dealing with ENVIRONMENTAL regulations.

4 Knowledge and experience in ARCHAEOLOGICAL issues and technologies, project management and airport related expertise is desirable. Valid Arizona Driver's License required. As assigned, specialized certifications may be required.
