1 DESCRIPTIONE nvirotemp FR3 FLUID is a Fire ResistantNatural Ester based dielectric coolant specifically for-mulated for use in distribution transformers where itsunique environmental, fire safety, chemical, and elec-trical properties are FR3 FLUID is formulated from edibleseed oils and food grade performance enhancingadditives. It does not contain any petroleum, halo-gens, silicones or any other questionable material. Itquickly and thoroughly biodegrades in both soil andaquatic environments. The FLUID tested non-toxic inaquatic toxicity tests.
2 It is tinted green to reflect itsfavorable environmental profile. ENVIROTEMP FR3 FLUID has an exceptionally highfire point of 360 C and flash point of 330 C. It has thehighest ignition resistance of less-flammable fluidscurrently available. It is referred to as a High FirePoint or "Less-Flammable" FLUID , and is Listed as aLess-Flammable Dielectric Liquid by Factory Mutualand Underwriters Laboratories for use in complyingwith the National Electric Code (NEC ) and insur-ance FR3 FLUID is compatible with standardtransformer insulating materials, components and withfluid processing equipment and procedures.
3 It demon-strates improved thermal characteristics with a vis-cosity closer to conventional transformer oil, superiordielectric strength in new and continued service appli-cations, and excellent chemical stability over time. Because of it excellent environmental, fire safetyand performance characteristics applications forEnvirotemp FR3 FLUID have expanded into a variety ofother equipment, including sectionalizing switches,transformer rectifiers, electromagnets, and voltagesupply circuits for luminaries.
