1 JOB DESCRIPTION < Extraction & Fractionation Shift Supervisor > Page 1 of 4 Doc #: XXX-XXX-#### Rev #: Date: 30-06-2016 Position Description: Position Title: Extraction & Fractionation Shift Supervisor Directorate: SLPG Department: Operation Location: Salalah(Permanent) Sharjah(Temporary) Section: Extraction & Fractionation Job Level: Middle management Reports to: Extraction & Fractionation Day Supervisor Subordinates (Direct/Indirect): 4/18 Job Purpose: To oversee the Extraction & Fractionation section performance and evaluate production, energy, reliability & efficiency on continuous basis in Salalah LPG facility during Shift hours. Monitor the overall operations of Extraction & Fractionation Section with full safety of Personnel, Plant & Environment to ensure uninterrupted production of specified quality & quantity of Propane, Butane and condensate during Shift hours. To ensure marketing, environmental, safety and statutory legislation requirements are met.

2 Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Qualifications: Degree in Chemical Engineering ( ) or equivalent with a minimum of 12 years experience OR Higher Diploma (HND) in Engineering with minimum of 15 years of experience in LPG Extraction & Fractionation / LNG /Refinery /Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries . Experience: Minimum 12 years of Relevant experience in Operation of Process facility preferably in LPG, LNG, Refinery, Oil& Gas, Petrochemicals or similar industry. Minimum 5 years experience as Shift Supervisor role or above, preferably within a LPG Extraction & Fractionation plant/LNG plant environment. Minimum 3 years experience as Panel Operator or equivalent preferably within a LPG Extraction & Fractionation plant /LNG plant environment. Experience in projects preferably LPG Extraction & Fractionation project during engineering, construction & commissioning phase. 3 Detailed knowledge and experience of activities of plant management & routine operation, start-up & shut down of process units like, mercury removal. dehydration, LPG Extraction and Fractionation and non - process units utilities, storage and loading facilities associated with LPG/NGL/LNG Plant like Gas turbine & Diesel Generation, Fuel gas system, Gas handling, Instrument Air & Nitrogen Plant, Contaminated water treatment, Fire water system, Product (Propane, Butane and Condensate) Storage/Handling & Transfer, Ship Loading Operations, Flare Operation. Detailed knowledge of handling of Methane, Propane, Butane and condensate chemicals and catalysts involved in the LPG Section such as Mercury Bed, Mole-sieve and Mercaptan beds. Detailed knowledge & experience of Panel operation and field activities of Extraction & Fractionation section Knowledge of Jetty Operation & land tanker loading operation for handling of Propane, Butane, Condensate, chemicals and Catalysts involved in Utilities ,Storage & Loading.

4 Operation Management System : Mastery in development and implementation of Operation Management System for process plant preferably in LPG Extraction & Fractionation Plant or equivalent gas processing & treatment plant like LNG /NGL plant.. Mastery to develop and establish implementation of the sectional policies and procedures in line with Organizational requirements and as per codes and regulations followed in SLPG. Mastery to develop SOPs, Emergency procedures, Work Instructions, Safety Procedures, Regulations and Policies are to be in the section. Detailed knowledge of Chemical Engineering unit operations and processes / Mechanical Engineering concepts relevant to their academic qualification. Mastery in production planning ,plant performance management and operation excellence Ability to manage & lead as first intervention team leader during emergencies in section and facility Ability to ensure for compliance of local legislation and implementation of HSSE Management system , emergency handling and response procedures Operation Readiness & Assurance : Ability to contribute effectively as Operation representative for operation inputs during detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities of Salalah LPG (SLPG) project.

5 Ability to develop Company deliverables of Operation Readiness & Assurance system for Extraction & Fractionation section. Review EPC contractor deliverables and support Commissioning, Construction and Engineering team during execute phase of the project. Ability to develop, plan & monitor Operation function work process streams activities for Operation readiness of SLPG project. Commissioning& Start-up : Knowledge and experience of project detailed engineering , procurement , construction , pre commissioning, commissioning , completion & handover activities , Initial start-up & ramp up activities and requirements First Time Right Program : : Familiar with Right First Time concept and activities of key areas Cleanliness & Preservation, Tightness, Operability& Maintainability, Integrity, Awareness of flaw recurrence during design , construction, pre-commissioning , Commissioning & initial start- up and operation and ability to mitigate the flaws HSE : Take an active role in designing and implementing basic HSE programs and procedures.

6 Monitor organizational compliance to HSE and implement revisions and updates to basic HSE as required. Define and implement advanced HSE strategies and objectives. Manage contractor HSE matters and implement risk assessment programs and initiatives. Also provide coaching in HSE leadership and commitment. Language & Communication Proficiency : Proficient in English language speaking, writing and reading.

7 Understanding of Arabic language is added advantage. Demonstrate advanced understanding and use of technical vocabulary, with the ability to lead technical meetings. Produce detailed reports and documents, including, but not limited to business documents and technical reports. 9 As and when required, report to Day Supervisor about section Shift activities in Extraction & Fractionation section and receive instructions for implementation. Responsible for Shift data updates, reporting & filing, incidence reporting and any other report preparation if required. Responsible for implementation of HSSE and Operation Management system in the Extraction & Fractionation section during Shift . Act as first intervention team leader and the role as defined emergency response procedure during emergencies in the section. Responsible for the role assigned in Permit to Work, Accountable for general administration as section administrator during Shift hours for Shift team Assist section Day Supervisor in planning , scheduling, execution , monitoring & reporting activities related to Asset & Plant Performance for Extraction & Fractionation section Contribute to achieve KPI s for section and contribute to department business plan to achieve company business plan target Identify staff training needs & prepare training & competency development plan, evaluate & monitor performance of staff for career development.

10 Mentor and coach peers and subordinates for competency development to drive Omanisation succession plan Interact with direct & indirect subordinates to promote team spirit and collaborative work environment. Monitor lab analysis of daily regular samples and also special samples and take corrective actions as per requirement. Repeat the sample in case of abnormal results and take corrective action. Troubleshoot all abnormal conditions and report the occurrence of all such anomalous conditions during operations of Units in the Shift and assist E&F Day Supervisor and Operations Head in the troubleshooting of such conditions as and when required. Coordination & management of contractor s work, specialized services in the section during Shift hours. Plan, coordinate and execute regular, preventive and shutdown maintenance jobs in coordination with Maintenance Department as and when required Coordinate with HSE to conduct relevant trainings and ensure adherence to the HSE guidelines, policies and procedures in day to day operation Ensure that all the emissions from different sections are within the specific limits of governing regulations.
