Report any damage to your supplier immediately. Also check whether all items are present: ADPRO fasttrace 2 server unit Power cord CD with client software and manuals Quick Setup Guide 19" mounting brackets, black Set of resistors (if fitted with Main or Extension input/output card) Set of 4 rubber feet to use the fasttrace 2 as a desktop unit.

7 The products are provided with a plug according to the National Heavy Current Regulations of the country of shipment. Installation shall be done according to National Regulations. 2 Power Requirements The ADPRO fasttrace 2 is designed for 100 240 VAC 50 60 Hz operation. It shall not share electrical outlets or circuits with devices that may cause significant electrical interference, such as air conditioners or photocopiers. Some installations may have particularly bad mains power disturbances, such as large voltage spikes, surges, and power sags which may cause system failure. In this case, power line filters/conditioners and/or uninterruptible power supplies shall be fitted between the ADPRO fasttrace 2 and the mains. 3 Safety Instructions The plug is the disconnect device for the fasttrace 2 server. 8 5 Installing the XOa Client Software on Your Computer XOa Client Minimum System Requirements Hardware Core 2 Duo, GHz 2 GB RAM Graphics card that is compatible with DirectX 7 Xtralis recommended to use a graphics card that allows YUV surfaces and hardware stretching. If not, the XOa client software will force the graphics card to GDI mode, which will increase CPU load. ADPRO fasttrace 2 Series Quick Setup Guide 21778_06 7 It is recommended to install the latest drivers of your graphics card. For NVIDIA cards, check For ATI/AMD cards, check If necessary, you can always force the client into GDI mode (not recommended, because of CPU load). Add the line gdi=1 in the [General] section of the file. The default location for this file is C:\Users\username\Appdata\Roaming\AdproX Oa\ (where username is the name of the Windows user that is currently logged on). Caution! These minimum system requirements enable you to configure the server from the client software.

9 However, if you want to use HD cameras in optimal quality, these minimum requirements will prove insufficient. Please take into account that double resolution, on average, results in 4 times more performance. Xtralis advises to test the settings to make sure that your PC can handle your configuration. Software Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Internet Explorer 8 or higher DirectX 7 drivers. Preparing Your PC for Installation Internet Explorer Settings Note The preferred browser for installing the XOa client software is Internet Explorer. If you cannot use Internet Explorer, try any other internet browser. In this case, you must install the MeadCo Neptune plugin. You can download the plugin from When installing the XOa client software on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system, you need to add the server s IP address to your Trusted sites in Internet Explorer. Proceed as follows: 1. In Internet Explorer, choose Tools > Internet options.

10 2. Click the Security tab. 3. In the Select a box, click Trusted sites, and click Sites. 4. In the Add this box, type http:// followed by the server s IP address. For example: 5. Click Add, and then click Close. 6. Click OK to close the Internet Options window. If installation is still not possible, you may try clearing the Protected Mode check box in the Security tab. Caution! Check with the IT department if you are allowed to switch off protected mode, because this may cause IT issues. Quick Setup Guide ADPRO fasttrace 2 Series 8 21778_06 Changing the PC s IP Address The server s default IP address is with subnet mask When you install the client software, you need to put your PC in the same IP range ( IP address with subnet mask ). In Windows XP To change the PC s IP address in Windows XP, proceed as follows: 1. Click Start and choose All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network Connections. 2. Right-click Local Area Connection, and then click Properties.
