Florida Population Growth: Past, Present and Future
1990s. In each of those five decades, Florida grew more by net migration than any other state except California. Figure 4 shows natural increase and net migration in Florida between 1950 and 2000. During the 1950s and 1960s net migration accounted for about three-quarters of Florida's population growth.
