Take advantage of this opportunity to safely and anonymously dispose of old and unusable pesticides. This Collection Event is for agriculture waste pesticides in Jefferson, Deschutes and Crook Counties. You must pre-register with the disposal service so they are prepared to receive your chemicals. To get an application, contact Clean Harbors or OSU Central oregon Agricultural Research Center.

3 You can recycle clean, dirt and residue free, triple-rinsed plastic containers. For triple rinse procedures, see the Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC) website at and select the link for Container Rinsing. All size containers up to 55-gallon capacity plastic drums can be accepted. Containers need to be made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) and embossed with recycling symbol #2. No pre-registration is needed for dropping off empty, triple-rinsed pesticide containers. There is no charge for this service. Parts of Central oregon encompass inten-sively managed agriculture lands where a wide variety of pesticides are applied and held in storage.
4 This is an opportunity for growers to clean their storages of unwanted materials. Old and unused pesticides can enter waterways through leaching, flooding, or runoff. Chemicals collected from the this area and disposed of are removed as threats to water quality. Help protect our water, air and soil by bringing your old and unused pesticides to this col-lection Event for proper disposal. Thank you for being good stewards!
