FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE Synod Update: We are pleased to share with you the Facilitator s Guide (available at on our website), which we hope will serve as a valuable resource. The Facilitator's Guide provides guidance to coordinators and facilitators both within and outside the parish on how to form small groups, how to plan for and run synodal consultations, and how to submit the summary report. A kind reminder to pastors to please confirm their parish coordinator/s and share this contact information with us by clicking here before end of November if possible.
2 We realize that as we near the Advent Season, it becomes more difficult to plan for anything extra, but we are hopeful that coordinators can be chosen in November and provided with this Guide. They can then begin to consider how best to prepare for small group gatherings and discernment in the new year. Parishes now have until May 6th to submit their summary report. Finally, a note to let you know that on-line training sessions for facilitators are currently being planned for Tues., Nov. 30, 2:00 pm and Thurs., Dec. 2, 7:00 pm. A separate email is being prepared for coordinators which provides a registration link and further details. As we enter into the quiet of this Advent season, we pray for the Holy Spirit to continue to guide our diocesan synodal process, and that this time be filled with a deep sense of the Lord s love and peace.
