2 KLK OLEO Group is one of the largest, competitive and preferred producers and suppliers of innovative and sustainable palm-based oleochemical products and derivatives for all major global Emmerich GmbH is one of the largest single-site production units for Oleochemicals in Europe. The plant is over 100 years old - with approximately 265 employees, 162,000 m land, own utility generation (power, steam, air, nitrogen), own harbour and rail connection, four shift system and fully continuous opera-tion. All raw materials used on site are of natural vegetable origin; oils ( palm oil, palm kernel oil, coconut oil, rapeseed oil) or crude glycerine, either normal or methonolysed. Safety, Health and the Environment are key elements of the KLK Emmerich GmbH philosophy. To extend the product scope for our customers in Europe, KLK Oleo Group will also be a leading producer of tallow based fatty acids, Dimer and Monomer acids, Pharma Grade Glycerine and purchase of the Base Oleo Business from Emery Oleochemicals GmbH in D sseldorf in September 2015 marks the next step of KLK to widen the product range with tallow-based 1911 until today:Establishment of lwerke Germania by Mssrs.

The RSPO is a not-for-profit association that unites stakehol-ders from seven sectors of the palm oil industry oil palm producers, palm oil processors or traders, consumer goods manufacturers, retailers, banks and investors, environmental or nature conservation NGOs and social or developmental NGOs - to develop and imple-ment global standards for sustainable palm oil.

4 KLK OLEO recognizes the importance of setting a good example when it comes to sus-tainable development. As always, we continue to be pioneers of change in the oleoche-mical industry, and strive to pursue international standards of recognition in our national and global efforts for sustainability. KLK OLEO, as part of the public-listed reputable inter-national plantation group Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK), has met all criteria of the RSPO Supply Chain Certification (SCC) Systems. KLK OLEO offers 2 supply chain models under the RSPO guidelines; namely the Segregation Model and the Mass Balance Model. The Segregation Model assures that all of the physical products originate from only RSPO-certified oil. This approach requires that RSPO-certified palm oil is kept separate from materials of KLK OLEO - RSPO Supply Chain Certification Systems non-RSPO cer-tified origin at every stage of production, processing, refining and manufacturing, throug-hout the supply chain.

5 This model however, does allow the mixing of RSPO-certified palm oil and its derivatives from various sources. The Mass Balance Model allows mixing of certified oil and non-certified oil at any stage of the supply chain, provided that the overall certified oil quantities used is controlled and accounted for. The key point for the Mass Balance Model is that the volume of products shipped must never exceed the volume received by the end user. The basis of the supply chain requirements for the Mass Balance Model consists of reconciliation between the quantity of RSPO material bought, and the quantity of RSPO certified products delivered. There are no additional requirements for se-parate storing or control in the production process. KLK OLEO helps stakeholders achieve their mission on sustainability by sharing their knowledge and expertise. This is accomplis-hed through co-operation within the supply chain in delivering Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) products.

6 CSPO derivatives can be considered and activated subject to mutual commercial agreements. With KLK OLEO s our vast global distribution and supply network in Malaysia, Germany and China, we believe in providing renewable solutions for product marketing and sustainable development Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil KLK OLEO RSPO Supply Chain Certification Systems10/11 ISO 9001:2008 HACCP KOSHER HALAL GMP GMP+ ECOCERT Responsible Care A member of RSPO ISO 14001-2004 OHSAS 18001 Non-genetically Modified OrganismsCertificatesPackagingFlakes in 25kg bags on 525/750/900kg pallets in 500/525/550/600/750/900/1000kg BigBagsLiquid Bulk in 180kg drums on 720kg pallets (Fatty Acids) in 250kg drums on 1000kg pallets (Glycerine) in 240kg drums or 1200kg IBCs (Triacetin) in 850/900kg IBCs (Fatty Acids) in 1000/1200kg IBCs (Glycerine)Packaging and finishing may vary depending on the site of origin.

Fatty Acids Short ChainsFatty AcidsFatty AcidsPALMERA distilled and fractionated fatty acids are derived from vegetable oils and fats. They can be used as-is, or as a derivative. Fatty acids may be found in plastics, rubber, textiles, lubricants, metal-working, crayons, candles, biocides, paints, inks, fractions are usually pure products of a single chain length such as caprylic acid, capric acid, lauric acid, etc. Additio-nally, KLK can offer two component mixes of fractions (C8C10, C12C14) and tailor made distilled fatty acids generally reflect the natural C-chain composition of the oil it originates from, such as distilled palm oil fatty acid and topped palm kernel fatty acid.

9 These distilled fatty acids can be offered as such or hydrogena-ted. Below an overview of the main applications of the various groups of fatty Fatty AcidsKLK (Emmerich) can offer fractions with a chain length from C6 to C22, derived from feedstock such as palm (kernel) oil and high erucic rapeseed oil. Depending on the chain length, the fractions are used in a wide variety of applications, such as (but not limited to): Plasticizers Surfactants in cosmetics, liquid and transparent soaps Agricultural chemicals Adhesives, inks and coatings Waxes in crayons, candles and leather applications Lubricants and metal working fluids Plastics and rubberi Flavouring and perfuming agents Production of metal working fluid to enhance cutting capabilities, grinding capabilities and rust resistance of the fluid Soaps Chain stopper in the production of polyester plasticizer, etc.

10 Fatty acid derivatives such as esters, alkyl chlorides, fatty amines Flotation agents in mining Personal care such as creams and lotions formulationsTwo special fractions are behenic acid (C22) and erucic acid (C22:1). These products are derived from high erucic rapeseed oil. Due to their long alkane chain these two fractions have a low polarity. Erucic acid is mainly used in specialty lubricants and erucamide production. Behenic acid is used for ester and alcohol production and the derivatives are mainly used in the personal care industry, but also in fuel and paper Fatty Acids Long ChainsFatty AcidsProductProduct nameAcid ValuemgKOH/gSaponifica-tion ValuemgKOH/gIodine ValuegI/100gTitre RedColourAPHA HazenC16 %C18 %C18:1%C20%C22%C22:1%C22:2%C24%PALMERA A7018 Stearic Acid 70%199-205200-206max.
