6 Ifadditional information is required or if specific problems arisethat are not fully discussed in this manual, contact your localSales : Warnings and Cautions appear at appropriateplaces in this manual. Your personal safety and the properoperation of this machine require that you follow themcarefully. The Company assumes no liability for installations orservicing performed by unqualified ChecklistAn Installation Checklist is provided at the end of theinstallation section of this manual. Use the checklist to verifythat all necessary Installation procedures have beencompleted. Do not use the checklist as a substitute for readingthe information contained in the manual. Read the entiremanual before beginning Installation InspectionInspect material carefully for any shipping damage.
7 Ifdamaged, it must be reported to, and claims made against thetransportation company. Compare the information thatappears on the unit nameplate with ordering and submittaldata to insure the proper unit was shipped. Available powersupply must be compatible with electrical characteristicsspecified on component nameplates. Replace damaged partswith authorized parts ChecklistTo protect against loss due to damage incurred in transit, complete the following checklist upon receipt of the unit.[ ] Inspect individual pieces of the shipment before acceptingthe unit. Check for obvious damage to the unit or packingmaterial.[ ] Inspect the unit for concealed damage before it is storedand as soon as possible after delivery.
8 Concealed damagemust be reported within 15 days. If concealed damage isdiscovered, stop unpacking the shipment. Do not removedamaged material from the receiving location. Take photosof the damage if possible. The owner must provide reason-able evidence that the damage did not occur after delivery.[ ] Notify the carrier s terminal of damage immediately byphone and by mail. Request an immediate joint inspectionof the damage by the carrier and the consignee.[ ] Notify the sales representative and arrange for repair. Donot repair the unit until the damage is inspected by thecarrier s Leak TestAll TWA units are shipped with a holding charge of nitrogenin each circuit. Remove the compressor access panel(s)shown in Figure 1, Figure 2 or Figure 3.
9 Locate the liquid lineor suction line service valve for each circuit. Install gauges todetermine if the circuits are still pressurized. If not, the chargehas escaped. Repair as required to obtain a leak-free RecommendationsBefore preparing the unit for lifting, estimate the approximatecenter of gravity for lifting safety. Because of placement ofinternal components, the unit weight may be unevenlydistributed. Approximate unit weights are given in Table 2. 10 For lifting the unit, attach lifting straps or slingssecurely to the lifting holes at each corner. Use spreaderbars to protect the unit casing from damage. Test lift the unit todetermine proper balance and : Use spreader bars to prevent lifting strapsfrom damaging the unit. Install bars between liftingstraps. This will prevent the straps from crushing theunit cabinet or damaging the unit enough space around the unit to allow unrestrictedaccess to all service points. Refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2 forunit dimensions and minimum required service and free airclearances. Observe the following points to insure proper Do not install the unit under a low overhang. Condenserdischarge must not be restricted.
