Feeder heifers steady to lower. Slaughter cows higher. Demand good. Supply moderate. Quality and numbers were down from last week. Featured lot was 100 head of 501 lb heifers with attractive condition. Feedlot cattle are widely expected to trade higher this week with the fed kill humming and numbers tightening. Feeder futures are a different story, under pressure Tuesday from the latest round of sharply higher grain prices. Supply included: 91% Feeder Cattle (36% Steers, 57% Heifers, 7% Bulls); 9% Slaughter Cattle (83% Cows, 17% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 34%.
