2 ORIGIN AND GROWTH POMC was founded in 1978 by Charlotte and Robert Hullinger in Cincinnati, Ohio, after the murder of their daughter, Lisa. Father Ken Czillinger, a Roman Catholic priest active in leading support groups for the bereaved, directed the Hullingers to others whose children had been murdered. What was once a small group is now a national organization with Chapters and Contact Persons throughout the United States. FINANCES POMC relies mostly on donations to support its outreach to those who have experienced the ultimate loss the murder of a loved one.
3 MEMBERSHIP FEES There are no membership fees to belong to POMC. The organization is open to any survivor over 18 of a homicide victim, as well as professionals who work with survivors.
