Hi-Lo gear shift lever moves two stages, "High" and "Low". By combination and use of the main gear shift lever and the Hi-Lo gear shift lever, eight speeds are obtained. Manual Shuttle Shift Lever Shift the st:lUtth~ lever forward to obtain forward speeds and shift it backward to obtain reverse speeds. (2) Before shifting the main gear shift lever or the Hi-Lo range shift lever, fully disengage the clutch and completely stop tile Tractor . WARNING: BEFORE DISMOUNTING Tractor : (1) ALWAYS SET PARKING BRAKE Leaving transmission in gear with the engine stopped will not prevent Tractor with shuttle transmission from rolling. (2) LOCK SHUTTLE SHIFT LEVER IN NEUTRAL POSITION This prevents movement of shuttle shift lever out of neutral position. Check engine oil before starting the engine or 5 minutEls or more after the engine.

7 Has stopped. (2) To check the oil level, draw out tile dipstick, wipe it . clean, replace it, and draw it out again. Checkto see that the oil level lies between the two notches. (3) If the level is too low, add new oil to the prescribed level. (4) When using an oil of different manufacturer or viscos-ity from the previous one, remove all of the old oil. Never mix two different types of oil.. (5) Use the proper SAE Engine Oil according to the air temperatures. ENGINE OIL VISCOSITY CHART Below -23 C (-10 F) -23 _0 C (-10 -32 F) 0 -25 C (32 -77 F) Above 25 C (77 F) Engine Oil Change IMPORTANT: SAE 5 Wor 5W-20 SAE 10W or 10W-30 SAE 20 or 10W":"'30 SAE 30 or 10W-30 Before changing the oil, be sure to stop the engine. (1) To drain the used oil, remove the drain plug at the bottom of the engine and drain the oil completely. All the used oil can be drained out easily when the engine is still warm. (2) Reinstall the drain plug. (3) Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

8 F-3531 Engine Oil Filter Cartridge Change IMPORTANT: Be sure to stop the engine before changing the oil filter cartridge. (1) The oil filter cartridge must be changed every 400 service hours. (2) Apply a slight coat of oil onto the cartridge gasket. (3) To install the new cat ridge, screw it on by hand. Overtightening may cause defo,rmation of the rubber gasket. (4) After the new cartridge has been replaced, the engine oil level will normally lower a little. Add engine oil to proper level. Check for oil leaks around filter gasket. IMPORTANT: To prevent serious damage to the engine, replacement element must be highly efficient.
