1 TARIFF SCHEDULE FOR THE 2017/2018 FINANCIAL YEAR Approved 2017/2018 Tariffs Revision Date: 22 May 2017 Page 2 CHARGES FOR SANITARY AND refuse (SOLID WASTES) REMOVAL The City of MBOMBELA hereby gives notice in terms of Section 75A of the LOCAL Government Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000 (as amended), that the following tariffs, fees and charges applicable to the Sanitary and refuse Removal By-laws, have been determined and accepted by Council with a unanimous decision under Item A(2) during a Special Council meeting held on 31 May 2017.

2 The determinations shall come into effect on 1 July 2017. DEFINITIONS Removal" means the removal as indicated per residential, business, commercial or industrial property; "Liner" means plastic refuse bag not exceeding 0,1m ; Owner means a person as defined in the Municipal Property Rates Act, Act 6 of 2004 and the LOCAL Government Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000; Property means immovable property as defined in the LOCAL Government Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000 and the Municipal Property Rates Act, Act 6 of 2004. NOTE: The City of MBOMBELA is in the process of standardizing the tariffs.

3 Certain tariffs will phase in immediately because the same containers are used and the same service is rendered. 1. refuse DOMESTIC refuse For a maximum of 5 plastic bin liners, liners not exceeding 0,1m capacity, per removal and where a service is rendered once per week, per month or part thereof: (a) From residential stands in Nelspruit and White River where a service for the removal of domestic and garden refuse is rendered by the MUNICIPALITY R (b) From residential stands in Hazyview where a service for the removal of domestic and garden refuse is rendered by the MUNICIPALITY R (c) From residential stands in areas where a service for the removal of domestic, sanitary and garden refuse is rendered by a contractor R (d)

4 From premises on which flats are erected in Nelspruit and White River per flat R (e) From residential stands in Kabokweni where a full service is rendered R (f) From residential stands in Kaboweni where a partial service was rendered R (g) From residential stands in Umjindi where a service for the removal of domestic and garden refuse is rendered by the MUNICIPALITY R BUSINESS AND DRY INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE (a) Not compacted (i) For a maximum of 1 bin liner, liner not exceeding 0,1m capacity, per container per removal and where a service is rendered one to three times per week, per container, per month or part thereof R (ii) For a maximum of 1 bin liner, liner not exceeding 0,1m capacity, per removal, and where a services is rendered six times per week, per month or part thereof R Approved 2017/2018 Tariffs Revision Date.

5 22 May 2017 Page 3 (b) Compacted Removal of solid waste compacted and which is placed in a plastic, paper or other disposable container: (i) With a capacity of 0,085m3 per bale per removal R (ii) With a capacity of 0,170m3 per bale per removal R (c) Removal of solid waste which is compacted and placed in a compaction unit container: (i) With a capacity of 6m3, per removal R 1, (ii) With a capacity of 8m3, per removal R 1, (iii) With a capacity of 9m3, per removal R 1, (iv) With a capacity of 11m3, per removal R 1, (v) With a capacity of 15m , per removal R 2, BULK SOLID WASTE CONTAINER SERVICE.
