1 PLAYOFF POLICY In all Championships, should two or more professionals or amateurs tie for the Championship, a sudden-death playoff will ensue unless otherwise stated. For qualifying events, if there are two or more competitors tied for the (a) championship, (b) final qualifying position(s), and (c) order of alternate positions, a sudden-death playoff will ensue. Details such as the playoff starting time, starting hole and playoff procedures will be announced as soon as possible after the final scores have been returned. It is the competitor s responsibility to be ready to play at that announced time. If, within the alternate playoff, a winner is determined, the other competitors must continue to play to determine addi-tional alternate positions (if needed).
2 If any player is not present for an alternate playoff, he/she will be given the lowest position amongst those with whom they were tied. Post-event, if any further alternate positions need to be determined, a USGA match of cards will be used.
