Ice Layer. Solid layer of water ice; likely to contain debris gathered as the body of ice was formed as well as fractures of varying sizes due to a variety of causes. Dependingon the size of the fracture, thesecould be “self healing” in the presenceof liquid water. This layer could be100’s to 1000’s of meters thick.
