1 MS 28774 Back-up, Single Turn Notes: 1. Surfaces must be smooth and free from irregularities. Edges must be clean and sharp. 2. Dimensions are in inches. 3. For use in packing grooves conforming to MIL-G-5514 and MIL-P-5514. 4. When measuring dimension M over a mandrel ( M dimension +.001), the maximum gap shall not be exceeded and no overlap is permitted beyond the full scarf. 5. For Dash Sizes 140-149, 231-247, 438-460, it is recommended that the respective Dash Sizes under MS 27595 (not cut) be used when possible. 6. For extended sizes cut back-up rings see TF74C. 7.
