1 LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH / REVENUE MANAGEMENT DIVISION RMD Bulletin Knowledge is RMD Bulletin No.: NGA 14-008 DOES NOT APPLY TO FEE-FOR-SERVICE PROVIDERS April 1, 2014 New Short-Doyle Medi-Cal Aid code Master Chart Effective March 18, 2014, the Aid code Master Chart has been updated. These aid codes identify the type of Medi-Cal coverage a client has and describes whether mental health services are appropriately covered by the aid code . This update includes three new aid codes for Drug Medi-Cal (13, 23, 63) and an update to one code for Short-Doyle Medi-Cal (8E). The update for 8E expands coverage to clients up to age 65 and is effective for dates of service 1/1/14 and forward. All providers are required to verify Medi-Cal eligibility before submitting claims for Medi-Cal reimbursement.
