6 This behavior is due to the factthat a task under a cProjects Project cannot have sub tasks in cProjectswhile there is no such restriction in Project of type material are not Operational Project (cProjects) Object TypesThe Project Type, Task Type, Role Type, Phase Type of the cProjects projectlinked to the item has default values mainatined within the xRPM IMG:Global Customizing -> Check Global SettingsArea 0009 (Porfolio Item Project Integration )Name 0002 (Default cProjects Project Type)Name 0003 (Default cProjects Task Type)Name 0003 (Default cProjects Role Type)Name 0003 (Default cProjects Phase Type)The standard delivery is 000000000000 RPM.

7 This value can be overridden bythe IMG step: Override Default Global default values are used for various object types during theimport/upload to DatesThe Dates are filled with Fixed Start Constraint and Fixed FinishConstraint during upload from Project System to xRPM. While transferringDate to cProjects, the time information attached to the date is DurationThe duration is imported correctly for the tasks if the Calendar maintainedin Project System is the same as the Calendar in cProjects StatusOnly the following Project System status are supported:- Project System StatusOperational(cProjects) SystemStatus'CRTD'->CRTE(Created)'REL'-> REL (Released)'TECO'->CMPT(Completed)'CLSD'- >CMPT(Completed)The standard status management of cProjects does not allow deletion ofobjects which have a status other than 'Created'.

8 If this is to be allowed,a status profile for these projects have to be defined and assigned to thecProjects projects. The configurations required are:- Define a status profile which allows deletion through adding a userstatus 'Delete' to the System status/ business transaction of a cProjectsproject -> Collaboration Projects -> Basic Settings ->Create/Change Status Profile for User Status- Defining that this status profile should be added to all cProjectsproject elements on upload from IMG -> Global Customizing -> Check Global SettingsArea 0009 (Porfolio Item Project Integration ) ->Name 0001 (Default Status Profile for Portfolio Item Project Plan).

Location MappingThe plant in Project System is mapped to Location in xRPM and thecorresponding area for this location is also populated. During upload, theitem and cProjects attributes for area and loaction are modified based onthe plant and location mapping maintained in the IMG:Base System Interfaces -> SAP Product Lifecycle Management - Project SystemIntegration -> Map SAP PLM PS System Locations to SAP xRPM Downloading projects to Project SystemAn xRPM portfolio item can be downloaded to Project System only once totransfer the item and portfolio Project data to PS.

10 The new Project iscreated by copying a Project System operative Template SearchThe template search performs an operative projects (known as standardprojects in PS terminology) search during download from xRPM to search string enterd to search for the Project to be copied is used asthe New Project ID for the Project to be created in SAP Project ID should be compliant with the Project System mask. Also, once theproject is searched and selected, it is possible to change the Project IDwith which you want to download, before clicking "Done". The New Project IDis automatically filled with this Project description of the new Project created in Project System is setto the xRPM portfolio item Limitations related to downloadAs operative projects are copied during the download to Project System ;Networks, Network activities and activity elements are not copied as partof download from xRPM to Project DatesThe start and end date of the new Project created in Project System comeeither from xRPM portfolio item or the associated cProjects projectdepending upon the mapping.
