JaneSmith1234567 2 JaneSmith3 1 9 104 11 PeopleSoft s Self-service View paycheck option displays your most recent paycheck with the following sections: 1: paycheck Header Displays employee name, the Company worked for (Statutory, Endowed, Puerto Rico, or Cooperative Extension), and the Address of the employment location on the left. On the right, the Net Pay of the check (amount after taxes and deductions), the Pay Begin Date, Pay End Date, and Check Date (date check is distributed).

2 Click on View a Different paycheck for a paycheck Selection menu, which lets you to view all previous checks paid to you. To display the associated check, click on any of the links under the Pay Period End Date column. 2: General Displays employee Name, Employee ID, and home Address on the left. On the right, the Business Unit, Pay Group, Department, Location, Job Title, and Pay Rate (for biweekly employees) or Annual Salary (for semi-monthly employees) associated with the job. 3: Tax Data Lists Marital Status, Allowances, Additional Percentage, and Additional Amount withheld as stated on the W-4 (Employee s Withholding Allowance Certificate).

3 The left displays the FEDERAL tax information, and the right displays STATE tax information. 4: paycheck Summary Shows both the Current (this paycheck ) and Year-to-Date (YTD) (all paychecks received during the calendar year) totals of Gross Earnings (before taxes and deductions), Federal Taxable Gross income (the amount federal taxes are based on), Total Taxes (all monies deducted for taxes), Total Deductions (all monies withheld for deductions), and Net Pay (amount after taxes and deductions). 5: Earnings Contains the Description for all types of earnings paid, the number of Hours allocated for the specific earning (left blank if not used in the current paycheck ), the Rate associated with each earning, the Amount associated with the earning, and the YTD t total associated with each earning.

4 A total appears at the bottom of each column for the current check. Amoun6: D MED/EE is the employee s (EE) Medicare withholding; Fed OASDI/EE is the employee s (EE) social security withholding. Taxes Provides a breakdown and Description of each type of tax withheld from the paycheck . The Amount withheld and the YTAmount total is provided. Fed 7: Before-Tax Deductions Displays a Description of the deduction, the Amount of the deduction, the total deductions for the year in the YTD Amount, and the Total of all of the deductions taken from the gross pay earned before taxes. 5 8: After-Tax Deductions Lists deductions taken after taxes were deducted. Contains a breakdown and Description of the deduction type, the deduction Amount, and the YTD Amount of the deduction(s), as well as Totals for current and YTD amounts. See also this list of After Tax Deduction descriptions. 9: Employer Paid Benefits Displays a breakdown and Description of each type of benefit paid by Cornell, and totals for the Amount paid for the current period and the YTD Amount. 6 If the paycheck was direct deposited the Payment Type displays Direct Deposit, along with the Account Type(s), Account Number(s), and Amount associated with the deposit(s). If the earnings were paid by check, the Payment Type shows Check and the Account Type will be Issue Check. Also listed is the paycheck Number. 11: Leave Balances Provides a breakdown and Description of each type of leave available and the YTD Amount, along with the Total YTD Amount for non-exempt employees only.
