You need web access for Insert the CD-ROM or DVD in the appropriate driveThe installation program will start automatically. If it does not, locate your CD-ROM or DVD drive in Microsoft Windows Explorer and double-click in media root folder.

7 Select a language for installation. The InstallShield Wizard will appear. (If you have downloaded the program from the Nuance website, double-click its file.)2. License and Serial NumberYou must accept the license agreement in order to proceed. You may be requiredto enter a serial number. You will find this on the CD or DVD packaging or on theNuance web site at the download location. Serial numbers never include the letter O , always use zero. Be sure to keep the serial number in a safe place; it is fullychecked only during product activation and is also needed for any Location and Setup TypeThe installer offers a default location for the program. Accept it or define adifferent one.

8 Select Typical or Custom Setup. Choose Custom to enable or disablethe integration of PDF Convert and PDF Create in other programs or to controlinstallation of certain program components such as connectors. By default, all theprograms offered in the Power PDF Integration panels of the InstallShield Wizardwill be enabled. (You can change integration settings later by file inmedia root folder and clicking Change button next to Nuance Power PDFcheckbox) Do not install the product to the Windows installation directory, toother system folder or mapped network note on connector integrations: Power PDF Standardautomatically installs connectors for the cloud storage sites Dropbox andEvernote, with aTypicalinstallation.

9 The Standard edition does not supportconnectors to Document Management PDF Advanced does not enable any connectors automatically. If you wantconnections to Dropbox and Evernote and any supported Document ManagementSystems (including Microsoft SharePoint), you must perform a Custom install andspecifically enable the ones you want. To add or change connectors later, youmust re-run the installer, select Power PDF and click Click Finish5. ActivateYou may be invited to activate the product at the end of installation. Pleaseensure that web access is available. Provided your serial number is found at itsstorage location and has been correctly entered, no user interaction is requiredand no personal information is transmitted.

10 If you do not activate the product atinstallation time, you will be invited to do this each time you invoke the PDF creates PDF files with a trial watermark on each page if you use itwithout activation. If you ignore the first five activation prompts, you mustactivate products separately and manually - a much more time-consumingprocess. You will be allowed to re-install the program a reasonable number oftimes without having re-activation problems, because un-installation includes ade-activation step. The serial number is needed for reinstallation and web accessis needed for de-activation and re-activation.
