8 6 Heat ShieldPart No. 46264 Engine AssemblyModel 860 General Instructions Your Model 860 TRAC VAC is designed to mount directly to your lawn and garden tractor and is assembled to make your task easier and quicker. The attachment to your tractor is simple and can be done in short order. First attach the hitch to the rear of your tractor with the lip upward. Attach with pins or bolts supplied. 7 Next, mount the air turbine Assembly by hooking lip of attaching frame onto hitch and bolting securely to drawbar with 5/8 HHC, free spinning nut and lock washer. To mount the discharge chute it is sometimes necessary to remove the deflector shield or lift it out of the way.

9 Place chute adapter on mower deck. Line up holes in chute adapter with holes in mower deck. Attach with hardware supplied and tighten securely. If the holes do not line up with holes in chute adapter, place discharge chute in position on mower deck. Mark and drill holes through deck. Attach adapter and discharge chute. Next attach hoses. Slip hose clamps over ends of hose. One 60 length connects air turbine Assembly and discharge chute. Fasten clamps about 1 inch from ends and tighten securely. The other 60 hose attaches to discharge side of air turbine and snap connector. CAUTION! Replace deflector shield when running mower without discharge chute.

10 DO NOT remove discharge chute when tractor is running. 8 Operation 1. Follow engine manufacturer s instructions in preparing for operation. 2. Inspect area to be vacuumed and pick up all harmful objects and litter. 3. For best vacuuming results, operate tractor at manufacturer s recommended speed for best cutting. If grass is high, mow and vacuum the second time. 4. When mowing, keep discharge chute to the outside of the cutting area for better cut of grass and efficient pickup of grass clipping and leaves. 5. Your vacuum engine is preset to run approximately 3800 RPM no-load. Do not slow engine down. Optimum vacuum is at 3600 RPM.
