3 WARRANTY FOR KOEL R1040 / R1080 SERIESENGINE OPERATING IN INDIAThis warranty applies to the R1040 / R1080 Series KOELD iesel Engine for power generation of WarrantyFor Power Generation Non Cellular ApplicationWithin 18 Calendar Months from Date of Dispatch fromKOEL or 3600 operating hours or 12 calendar monthsfrom date of installation, Whichever occurs first ForPower Generation Engines for Non Cellular Customers,OR30 Calendar Months from Date of Dispatch from KOELor 5000 operating hours or 24 Calendar months fromdate of installation, whichever occurs extended warranty as below will be applicable ifcustomer source the filters, K-Oil Super, K-Cool SuperPlus and avail the services from KOEL AuthorisedService Power Generation Cellular ApplicationWithin 24 Calendar Months from Date of Dispatch fromKOEL or 2500 operating hours whichever occurs firstif customer source the filters, K-Oil Super.

4 K-CoolSuper Plus and avail the services from KOEL AuthorisedService EnginesWithin 18 Calendar Months from Date of Dispatch fromKOEL or 3600 operating hours or 12 Months of hoursdate of installation whichever occurs first if customersource the filters, K-Oil Super, K-Cool Super Plus andavail the services from KOEL Authorised Service dealerfor off Highway of WarrantyAfter the Engine has been taken delivery by you, weexpressly guarantee, in lieu of any warranty impliedby law, to make good any defective parts in machineryof our own manufacture, which defect develops underproper use and necessary MAINTENANCE practices aswritten in this MANUAL and arises solely from faultymaterial or workmanship, provide always that suchdefective parts are promptly returned carriage paid toour works and provided that Fuel and lubricantsapproved by us, have been continuously used.

5 Therepaired or (at its option) new parts will be deliveredfree of cost, the termination of such period of 12 calendar months(or six calendar months as the case may be) all liabilityon our part the case of goods not of our manufacture ( FuelInjection Equipments, Electrical Components likeStarter, Alternator, Turbocharger), you are entitled tothe benefits of respective manufacturers warrantygiven to us. In respect there of and our liability inrespect of such goods is limited to the warranty givenby the respective manufacturer. In no case shall webe liable for the fitting charges of replacement partsof defective parts replaced by us shall become ourproperty.

6 All goods are supplied on the Condition thatwe shall not be liable for any loss incurred throughstoppages or any consequential damages. 7 The Engines will be deemed tohave been taken over by the customer upondispatch from our works, in the case of directdeliveries EX-Factory and from the godowns ofour authorized Dealers viz. 9 Use of engine other than designed application orchanges in engine performance related settingswithout KOEL warranty is the only document given by uswarranting the Kirloskar R1040 / R1080 series other document giving any warranty termsconflicting these contents shall be considered andentertained.* KOEL recommends use of K Oil Super, K CoolSuper Plus Coolant & Kirloskar genuine filters tobe used in engine.* KOEL will provide 2 free service checks (NamelyG1 & G2) for power generation application &5 free service checks (Namely C1, M1, M2, M3& M4) for off highway application. For availingfree service checks contact nearest KOEL authorised service dealer or call us on toll freenumber 1800-233-3344* Consumables & spares required for free servicechecks will be on chargeable engine needs :* Clean high speed diesel oil.

10 * Lubricating oil of specified quality and viscositygrade.* KOEL recommends use of K Oil Super.* Fresh air for combustion of fuel, for cooling ofgenset / radiator.* Genuine spare parts for its MAINTENANCE .* K - Cool Super Plus Coolant to avoid rust and MAINTENANCE * Sound service and MAINTENANCE practices will ensurethat the engine continues to meet your preventive MAINTENANCE at regularintervals must be observed. The service andmaintenance work should be carried outconscientiously.* Special care should be taken under abnormallydemanding operating and Repairs* Shut down the engine before carrying outmaintenance or repair work.
