Choose a viscosity from the following 3040 F and higher (5 C and higher)is good for all purpose use above 40 F, use below40 F will cause hard F (--18 to 38 C)is better for varying temperature conditions. Thisgrade of oil improves cold weather starting, but mayincrease oil consumption at 80 F(27 C) or oil level frequently at higher 5W-30--20 to 120 F (--30 to 40 C)provides the best protection at all temperatures aswell as improved starting with less oil F and below (5 C and below)is recommended for winter use, and works best incold this engine is equipped with a gear reductionunit, the gear reduction case must be filled with oilprior to operating the engine . 10 A minimum of 87 octane/87 AKI (91 RON). Ifoperating at high altitude, see below. Gasoline with up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) or upto 15% MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether), isacceptable. Use of any gasoline not consistent with therequirements will void the engine some local areas, fuel pumps may be marked if thegasoline contains alcohols or ethers. If you are unsureabout the gasoline you purchase, check with your fuelprovider. Do not modify the engine fuel system orcarburetor to run on alternative fuels. Never mix oil with gasoline is not the same. If you experience startingor performance problems after new gasoline has beenused in your engine , switch to a different fuel provideror change fuel fuels, called oxygenated or reformulated fuels,are fuels blended with alcohols or ethers. Excessiveamounts of these blends can damage the fuelsystem or cause performance problems. If anyundesirable operating symptoms occur, use gasolinewith a lower percentage of alcohol or StabilizerTo protect the fuel system from gum formation, mix ina fuel preservative when adding fuel.
