With firm faith, I also believe everything contained in God's Word, written or handed down in tradition and proposed by the Church, whether in solemn judgment or in ordinary and universal magisterium, as divinely revealed and calling for faith.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL. AFTER HOLY COMMUNION: Msgr. Baker will consecrate the entire parish to Our lady using the following words: CONSECRATION TO OUR lady Holy Mary, Mother of God and Mother of the Church, with great joy we join all generations and call you blessed.

6 We come before you seeking your maternal protection under your mantel of love. God the Father chose you before the creation of the world to be His daughter full of grace. You believed in His power and obeyed His word without hesitation. God the Son desired you for His mother and entered your pure womb for the sake of our salvation. You received Him with great hope and cared for Him with affection. God the Holy Spirit united with you as His mystical spouse and poured into your soul the fullness of His gifts . You loved Him with a pure heart and remained always attentive to His inspirations.

7 Mother of all nations you know our joys and sorrows. You are aware of our triumphs and crosses. You see and hear the longing of our hearts for your Son and our desire for true peace in our lives, in our families, in our parish, and in our world. Mary our mother we come before you with confidence in this act of consecration. We consecrate our whole lives our senses, our minds, our hearts, our desires, our hopes, our relationships, our work, our leisure, our homes, our families. We place our whole self and our entire parish under your motherly care and beg your intercession for all our needs.

8 We do so with the sure and certain hope that you will bring us to your Son to whom we commit all we have and all we are. Immaculate Mary, we ask that our Cathedral Parish of Saint Catharine of Siena be under your special protection. Invigorate in each of us a loving zeal for personal holiness and enkindle in us a vibrant commitment to evangelization among our fellow parishioners and to all those in need of Christ. Sustain our parish in its mission to proclaim the Gospel for the salvation of souls. Enliven our celebration of the sacraments with the depth of your devotion so that more souls may turn to our parish to receive the sacraments with piety.

9 Transform our catechesis so that young and old may learn the truths of the Catholic faith and respond to them with joy. Inspire our acts of charity toward our neighbor so that we may see in the one we serve the face of Christ your Son. Embrace each of our parish organizations and our school as we carry out the will of your Son in all things. Queen of heaven and earth who reigns body and soul in the glory of heaven, do not cease to shine before us the way to our eternal home. May all in our parish find in you a sign of great hope and consolation. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary we ask all this through Christ your Son who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
