It also may mean a hazard thatwill cause damage to : RAIL MUST BE MOUNTED SUCH THAT IT DOES NOTINTERFERE WITH THE SLIDEOUT CLOSING AND SEALINGWHEN IT IS IN THE COMPLETE RETRACTED : THE COTTER PINS ARE HOLDING THE PRE-WOUNDTENSION ON THE ROLLER ASSEMBLY.

2 CARE MUST BE TAKENTO PREVENT ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY WHEN REMOVINGTHESE : DO NOT RELEASE STRAP UNTIL THE AWNING ISAGAINST THE SLIDEOUT FACE. THIS SPRING RETURN WILLRAPIDLY ROLL UP AWNING RESULTING IN A SLAM AGAINSTTHE SLIDEOUT FACE, POSSIBLY DAMAGING THE RV ORAWNING!WARNING: FAILURE TO PUSH THE LOCK UP TO THEUNLOCKED POSITION PRIOR TO EXTENDING THE SLIDEOUTROOM WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE AWNING AND THE RV!WARNING: ROLLER LOCK MUST BE ENGAGED PRIOR TOTRAVEL! FAILURE TO DO THIS COULD RESULT IN BILLOWINGAND DAMAGE TO THE AWNING AN THE RV WHICH WILL NOT BECOVERED BY WARRANTY!SECTION II: SPECIFICATIONSIMPORTANT NOTE: BEFORE BEGINNING THEINSTALLATION, BE SURE TO READ THEINFORMATION BELOW TO ENSURE THAT THEOMEGA AWNING IS THE CORRECT SIZE! Omega Awnings are custom made for the length andextension of the slideout room. The actual canopy of theOmega Awning will measure approximately 4 longer thanthe B dimension on the order form.

3 Arm mounting brackets must mount on a flat surface that isa minimum of 1-1/6 (AM)SECTION III: OMEGA INSTALLATION1. INSTALLING AWNING RAIL:A. Remove rail from shipping tube. Apply sealer (putty tape orsilicone) to the back surface of the Determine the exact location the rail is to be mounted byfollowing the guidelines listed below. Rail can be mounted with the slot (where fabric slides in) facingup or with the slot facing down for non-alumaguard (non-metalwrap) awnings. For alumaguard (metal wrap) awnings, the rail must bemounted with the slot facing upward. Rail must mount on to a straight, flat, solid mounting surface. Whenever possible, rail should be mounted 4 above the face ofthe slideout room to prevent any possibility of binding, etc. Rail must be mounted to where the slot of the rail is positioned aminimum of 1 above the face ofthe slideout for non-alumaguardawnings and 2-1/2 above the face ofthe slideout foralumaguardawnings.

4 CAUTION: RAILMUST BEMOUNTED SUCHTHAT IT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE SLIDEOUTCLOSING AND SEALING WHEN IT IS IN THE COMPLETERETRACTED POSITION. Whenever possible, mount the rail 4 to 6 above the face of theslideout to achieve more pitch. However if mounting at thatheight, the support behind the skin of the vehicle may beminimal. If this is the case, it will then be necessary toensure the rail is mounted solid enough by using mollyrivets (not supplied) through the areas where there is onlyskin and attaching the rail with supplied screws at variousvertical support HANGING OF OMEGA AWNINGA. Remove tape from roller assembly andunwrap (1) wrap of material to allow foreasy insertion into awning Slide entire Omega roller assembly intoawning rail and center over canopy to rail with a #6 Hex headscrew at each end of the MOUNTING LEFT ARM ASSEMBLYA. Make sure Omega awning is centered over slideout.

5 This shouldplace each mounting bracket edge at the outer most mountingpoint, still inside of any rubber gasket or trim that may beattached to the edge of the Slide the roller lock assembly over the left tubular arm. Insertarm assembly into roller tube. Position the roller lock assemblyon the straight section of the arm and align it with the Of 1 For Non-AlumaguardMin. Of 2-1/2 WithAlumaguard3. MOUNTING LEFT ARM ASSEMBLY (cont.)C. Align the left arm vertically with the slideout Omegas without alumaguard position the center of the tophole of the arm bracket 10 below the slot of the awning acrylics with alumaguard position the center of the top hole inthe arm bracket 8-1/2 below the slot of the awning Using either a #10 x Hex head screws or a 3/16 pop rivet,attach the arm bracket to the slideout face. Pop rivets arepreferred when mounting the brackets on the slideout : WHEN MOUNTING BRACKETS, TAKE CARE THATTHE FASTENERS DO NOT PENETRATE OR INTERFEREWITH ANY RUBBER SEAL ON THE SLIDEOUT Make sure room is retracted completely.

6 Position the roller lockassembly by pushing the manual lock lever up to the unlockedposition and align it with the roller sprocketF. Place the manual lock in the Locked position and rotate it until itengages in a slot in the sprocket. ATTACH THE ROLLERBRACKET AT THIS POINT TO THE TUBULAR ARM BYINSTALLING A #10 X HEX HEAD TEK SCREW THROUGHTHE HOLE IN THE ROLLER BRACKET AND INTO THETUBULAR NOTE: IF THE EXTRUDED POINT OF THE manual LOCKLEVER FALLS ON A HIGH SIDE OF THE SPROCKET WHENTHE ROOM AND AWNING ARE COMPLETELY RETRACTEDIT WILL STILL FUNCTION PROPERLY. IF THE ROLLERSTARTS TO TURN IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGE INTHE NEXT SLOT ON THE SPROCKET. NOTE: VERIFY THAT THE manual LOCK LEVER OPERATESFREELY AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY INTERFERENCE WITHTHE SLIDEOUT FACE OR THE BODY OF THE MOUNTING RIGHT ARM ASSEMBLYA. Engage the pin inside of the right arm assembly into the springadapter.

7 (spring adapter is sticking out of the end of the rollertube. Rotate 45 degrees counter clockwise looking down theroller from the right side. PULL THE COTTER PIN : THE COTTER PIN IS HOLDING THE PRE-WOUNDTENSION ON THE ROLLER ASSEMBLY. CARE MUST BETAKEN TO PREVENT ANY DAMAGE OR INJURY WHENREMOVING THIS PIN. Push the arm into the roller Align the right arm vertically with the slideout face. Position thecenter of the top hole of the arm bracket 10 below the slotof the awning rail for non alumaguard awnings and 8-1/2 below the slot in the rail for acrylic with alumaguard. Usingeither a #10 x Hexhead screw or a 3/16 pop rivet, attach armbracket to the slideout face through thetop hole of thebracket. Repeat withbottom hole. Poprivets are preferredwhen mounting the brackets on the slideout flange. NOTE:WHEN MOUNTING BRACKETS, TAKE CARE THAT THEFASTENERS DO NOT PENETRATE OR INTERFERE WITHANY RUBBER SEAL ON THE SLIDEOUT INSTALLING PULL STRAP CATCHESA.)

8 Push the locking lever up until you hear a click. This will be theunlocked position. (See Operating INSTRUCTIONS ) Extend roomcompletely out. Be alert to roller latches stopping the Grasp the pull cane and push the arm locks up to the unlockedposition. Again with the pull cane, grasp the center pull strapand extend the awning into the window awning Insert one pull strap catch into the loop of the center Position the strap vertically under proper tension, mark themounting hole locations for the strap catch. NOTE: ARMSSHOULD BE POSITIONED SUCH THAT THEY ARE AS CLOSETO BEING PERPENEDICULAR WITH THE SIDEWALL OF THESLIDEOUT AS Drill 1/8 or 7/32 holes into the slideout face and attach catchwith either #10 x screws or 3/16 molly rivets as With the awning rolled out and hooked to the center pull strapcatch, repeat the steps above with the two outer pull strapsapproximately 12 in from the arm channel.

9 To ensure properfunction and appearance, these straps should be positioned suchthat they are vertically aligned and tight to match the center SECURING THE OMEGA AWNINGA. Extend and retract slideout a few times toverify the awning is centered and rolling If necessary, shift fabric one way or anotherby removing the previously installed screwsin the awning rail and adjusting up here onthehigh surfaceinstead of in the slot of in slot ofsprocketSprocket7. ATTACHING WARNING LABELSPEEL THE PAPER OFF OF THE BACK OF THETWO THIN RED WARNING LABELS ANDADHERE THE WARNING LABELS WHERE THEYWILL BE IN PLAIN SIGHT NEXT TO THESLIDEOUT OPERATING SWITCH OR ON THESLIDEOUT SAFETY JACK OR THE ROOMTRAVEL LOCK BRACE. PLACE THE THICKERRED LABEL OVER THE OPERATING SWITCHAS DESCRIBED IN THE ATTACHED COLOREDSHEET OF PAPER. THESE LABELS MUST BEPUT INTO PLACE TO ENSURE THE CUSTOMERKNOWS TO LOCK THE manual LOCK FORTRAVEL AND UNLOCK IT BEFORE EXTENDINGROOM!

10 FAILURE TO DO THIS COULD RESULTIN DAMAGE TO BOTH THE AWNING AND THERV!8. installation QUALITY CHECK LISTREVIEW THE FOLLOWING QUALITY CHECK LIST TO ENSURE APROPER PROPER ARM LOCATION CHECK FOR ALUMAGUARD AWNINGS: The arm bracket topmounting hole must be positioned 8-1/2 below the bead of theawning rail. FOR NON-ALUMAGUARD AWNINGS: The arm bracket topmounting hole must be positioned 10 below the bead of theawning manual LOCK CHECK Verify that the manual Lock operates freely and does not haveany interference with the slideout face or the body of thecoach. Verify that the manual Lock extruded hook is in line with theRoller Sprocket Verify that the manual Lock is installed on the left handtubular arm looking at it as you face the must comply with all items on the check installations may result in billowing or benefits do not apply to improperly installed IV: OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS1.
