5 The minipor tions are mostly used by hotels, restaurants, and Multipack 8304 is a solid, single cell rotar y machine with an output of up to 180 por tions per minute which per fectly works in line with the collating and stacking machine t ype 8534. This semi-automatic case packer is driven and controlled by the upstream Multipack 8304. The t win machine, also rotar y, t ype Multipack 8358, is equipped for a considerably higher speed: up to 500 por tions per minute. Due to dif ferent half-turn dosing options and possibilities to combine with various fully automatic and semi-automatic case packers, this machine is suitable for a variet y of products and markets. Both machines were designed for filling and wrapping past y products as but ter, margarine, soup pastes, fruit pastes, fresh cheese and fresh yeast in minipor tions. Several options of product feed are available, either by product hopper, by trough with feed worms, or directly connected to the process plant.

6 The por tions are filled in preformed, top open wrapper bags, guaranteeing air-free filling, and closed according to the bot tom fold principle. This technique provides optimum product protection and presentation, par ticularly for sof t products and those with a low fat percentage. A packet height adjustment can be ef fected in a few minutes. According to market requirements, various t ypes of end-of-line equipment can be integrated into the line.
