5 The lubricants were tested and evaluated under a wide range of lubricationenvironments using five friction-and-wear test devices. The results were analyzed by using a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) , a Tukey multiple comparison test was used to compare pairs of means among the gear andengine lubricants within a given test method.
