2 Ensure alignment of the strategic plan, operational plan, budget, activities and calendars (of the Board, National Advisory Committee, Divisional Councils, Honours Panel, Programme Reference Groups, Working Parties, Advisory Committees and Employees), management and staff duties. 2. To review and appraise the activities across the Association to seek, identify and promote strategic opportunities and achieve efficiencies by reducing unnecessary repetition of activity by staff and volunteers. 3. To monitor CPD compliance via audit and approval of CPD. 4. To work with the National Representation Manager to prepare submissions and REPORTS on behalf of Occupational Therapy Australia to relevant bodies including, but not limited to, parliamentary inquiries, government departments, productivity commissions, statutory authorities, insurers and other peak bodies on matters relevant to occupational therapy.

To undertake analyses of strategic and policy documents produced externally to assess their impact on the practice of occupational therapy and to identify opportunities for advancement of the profession. 6. To manage the establishment and ongoing support of national special interest groups. 7. Ensure coordination of all operational activities of the Association to promote efficiency, maximise processing, throughput and output of member benefits and services. 8. To provide executive support to meetings 9. To oversee the provision of expert advice to members in response to queries and requests for information.

4 DELEGATIONS In accordance with Occupational Therapy Australia Delegations Policy QUALIFICATIONS Mandatory Entry Level Qualification in Occupational Therapy Eligibility for Registration as an Occupational Therapist in a current jurisdiction in Australia. Highly Desirable Formal qualifications in management, business, health or behavioural sciences. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Some interstate travel. Occasional out of hours work shall be required to support volunteer councils and committees. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Skills and Abilities 1. High level written and verbal communication skills 2. High level consultation and coaching skills and relationship management skills 3.

5 High level analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution focus 4. High level of skill in engaging the participation of volunteers Knowledge 5. Substantial knowledge of the PURPOSE and functions of an allied heath professional association/peak body. 6. Substantial knowledge of the health care system in general and the profession of occupational therapy in particular. Experience 7. Extensive experience in management and administration of not-for-profit section organisations and volunteers.
