How to add the Dictaphone Powermic II As a Sound Source If the buttons on your Dictaphone Powermic II are not functioning properly, it's most likely because the Powermic was not properly set up. If the buttons on your Powermic are working and you want to learn more about button functionality, go to this bottom of this document and look for "TIP" after item #6. To add the Dictaphone Powermic II as a sound source for dragon and make the Dictaphone Powermic II buttons functional, you will need to perform the following steps: 1. Make certain the Dictaphone Powermic II is plugged into the USB port 2. On the DragonBar click "Profile" (click " dragon " for version 10). ---> "Open User Profile".
2 3. Click on the user profile you wish to assign the Dictaphone Powermic to. NOTE: make certain the Powermic is not already listed as a sound source. If it is listed, simply open that user profile and you will have full functionality of the Dictaphone Powermic II. 4. To the right click on "Source" ---> "New". From there, you should see the Dictaphone Powermic II listed by default. NOTE: In the unlikely event that the Dictaphone Powermic II is not listed as an option, you will need to reboot your computer and perform the steps above again 888-634-8200. 888-634-8200. 5. Follow the prompts for audio setup. NOTE: do not press the red button at any time during the audio setup otherwise the microphone sensitivity will be too high 6.
3 Once the Powermic is hooked up, the default setting to turn the microphone on and off is to depress the red record button to turn the mic on. To turn the microphone off, let go of the red button. TIP : Microphone setting can be changed under "Tools" --->. " options " ---> click on " Powermic " tab and you'll see the adjustments that can be made with each button. ( the microphone on without having to keep the record button depressed.) Hover your mouse on the graphic to see a tooltip that explains the name of the button to the right and the action that it performs. ( hover your mouse on the graphic of the red button on the Powermic and you should see a yellow tooltip appear that says "Dictate".)
