Since 1 January 2000 the International Frequency Information Circular (BR IFIC) replaces the Weekly Circulars (WIC) and the Special Sections in the paper and microfiche formats, consequent to the decisions of the WRC-97 by Resolution 30. The contents of this fortnightly publication are described in the BR Circular Letter CR/134 dated 22 December 1999.

10 Due to the large volume of the data, it is published in two parts according to services, namely Terrestrial Services and Space Services. Due to the increase of the volume of data received by the Bureau, the technological progress, software evolution and to provide more relevant and useful information to administrations, the BR IFIC will be published henceforth in DVD-ROM format, as from the BR IFIC 2710 of 10 January 2012, see the Circular Letter CR/327 dated 26 October 2011. This PREFACE describes the contents and the layout of the Space services part of the above Circular, currently in DVD-ROM format. It is also for use in consulting copies of the Space Master International Frequency Register SMIFR. (hereinafter called Master Register), when provided in electronic form ( ) or the IFIC. data ( ) or any other document of the Radiocommunication Bureau (hereinafter called Bureau).
