Press Release 15th June 2016 The Corporate Cup - Mourant Ozannes Relay Race On 2 October 2016 the Mourant Ozannes Relay Race, now in its fourth year, will be once again be an integral part of the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon which is raising money for Brig-y-don Children s Charity and Seeing is Believing. The race starts at in St Helier and will pass through some of the Island s most scenic areas of country lanes, picturesque valleys and coastline. Teams of five runners compete on the full marathon course with sections varying from to 11kms and competitors will be running alongside those competing in the Marathon Race. This really is a fantastic opportunity for people of all levels of fitness to participate in a big race atmosphere. The Glory Leg Les Quennevais Hockey Field to Finish The Mourant Ozannes Relay race is predominantly made up of Corporate teams and as such, there are a number of industry cups up for grabs including the Bank, Law, Trust, Accountant, Hospitality and States of Jersey Cup. All members of the team must work for the same organisation on a part-time or fulltime fixed term contracts. In addition to the Corporate cups, first, second and third teams in male, female and mixed teams will also be awarded a trophy. Each team member will also be rewarded with a goodie bag, containing a commemorative t-shirt, medal and a range of exciting products and useful information. 5 About Brig-y-Don Children s Charity Brig-y-Don Children s Charity principally uses its funds to buy goods, services and life-enhancing experiences that will improve the lives of Looked After Children in Jersey. We then continue to provide support to these young adults when they leave care to live independently in the wider community. The charity will also consider any request to help a child or young person in need in Jersey.
