1 1 Procedures for Physical Convocation Ceremony (August 2021 Convocation Batch) IMPORTANT NOTE: Only fully-vaccinated persons will be allowed to participate the Convocation Ceremony and enter the campus. Definition of fully-vaccinated: Individuals who have taken the Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccines, which require two doses, must have passed 14 days from the date of their second vaccination. Individuals who have taken the Johnson & Johnson or CanSino vaccines, which require one dose, must have passed 28 days from the date of their vaccination.

2 Please note that you need to log in using your UTAR ID number and password to register as a graduate to access information. (A) PREPARATION FOR GRADUATION Step 1: Convocation ATTENDANCE & PAYMENT Confirmation of Convocation Ceremony Attendance Graduates are required to confirm your attendance to participate to the Physical Convocation Ceremony : Login to Registration for August 2021 Graduates' Click Yes or No to attend the Physical Ceremony which scheduled on 3 6 March 2022 Period of confirmation of the attendance.

3 19 November 2021 to 25 November 2021 You are not allowed to participate in the Physical Convocation Ceremony if you failed to register to confirm your attendance within the stipulated period. UTAR reserves the right to impose stricter Procedures , change the date of a Convocation Ceremony /session or cancel a Convocation Ceremony /session in accordance with any government announcements or directives based on latest COVID-19 situation. The Convocation sessions will be announcing at the Convocation website on 19 January 2021, Online Registration (Venue & Date of Collecting/Returning, Size of Convocation Attire, Stage Photographs Graduates who confirm the attendance to participate to the Physical Convocation Ceremony are required to fill in the Online Registration to choose the venue & date of the collection/retuning of Convocation attire, size of convo attire & stage photographs)

4 Login to Registration for August 2021 Graduates' Select: Venue & Date of Collecting/Returning, Size of Convocation Attire, and Venue of Stage Photographs. Please double check your selection of venue before you submit it. Change of venue is not allowed. Period of registration: 19 January 2022 to 25 January 2022 2 FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT REGISTER ONLINE by the deadline: either the graduate concerned or his/her agent will have to COLLECT his/her Convocation attire etc. at Sungai Long campus, Jalan Sungai Long, Bandar Sungai Long, Cheras, 43000 Kajang, Selangor ONLY Application for refund of Convocation Attire deposit All attending Convocation graduates are required to complete online "Application for Refund of Convocation Attire deposit" by following the steps below: Login to Registration for August 2021 Graduates'.

5 Click Convocation Online Application For Refund of Convocation Attire Deposit (For Graduates Attending Convocation ) To check the bank account information and click "Submit" All graduates who have completed the online "Application for Refund of Convocation Attire Deposit" will receive their deposit latest by 14 April 2022 after the returning of the full set of Convocation attire WITHIN the stipulated date For those return late, they will receive their deposit latest by 14 May 2022 after the returning of the full set of Convocation attire.

6 The amount to be refunded depends on conditions of the attire returned and date of return. Kindly double check your bank account information before submission. If you would like to change your bank account number, please email to for further action. The deposit of (Degree), (Master) or (PhD) will be refunded through account transfer after the full set of Convocation attire ( one Convocation gown, one hood, and one mortar-board/bonnet) is returned in good condition within the stipulated date. Graduate will receive an email notification when the refund payment has been deposited into their account.

7 Deadline submission of refund: 25 January 2022 Payment Rental of Convocation Attire Fee (a) All graduates are required to pay a rental of Convocation attire fee as stipulated by the University before 25 January 2022. The charges for rental of the Convocation Attire are as follows: Bachelor s Degrees Master Degrees Doctorate Degrees Deposit* Rental Total *Deposit is refundable upon return of all three pieces (gown, hood and hat) of the Convocation Attire within the rental period and in good condition.

8 (b) Please follow the steps below to access the Pro-Forma Student Bill: Go to 3 Login to UTAR Portal Click: "My Billing" Click on the PDF icon to print your E-Bill for payment and record. Please follow the instructions on E-Bill before paying your bill. (c) Methods of payment: at any Public Bank branches Please present the Pro-Forma Student Bill and duly complete pay-in slip payable to "Universiti Tunku abdul Rahman" account number: 3999207316 when making payment to the bank teller. The bill will be retained by the Bank.

9 Through Public Bank Internet Banking services Log on to , a service provided by Public Bank Bhd for their current and savings account holders. Follow the instructions for payment.
