1 Product InformationETHAFOAM 220 Polyethylene Foam pcf ( kg/m3)Maximum psi ( kPa)ColorBlack, NaturalETHAFOAMETHAFOAM 220 polyethylene foam is astrong, resilient, medium-density pcf ( kg/m3), closed-cell foam. It is ideallysuited as a component material in productsrequiring a shock absorbing, vibrationdampening, insulating and/or buoyancycomponent, and as a material for cushioningcomponents in packaging applications forloadings up to psi ( kPa). ETHAFOAM 220 has outstanding recoverycharacteristics that provide optimal cushioningprotection against repeated impacts.

2 It is idealfor cushion packaging and is used in manyapplications, including computer, automotive, construction and recreation. To achieve optimum performance, Dow recommends that qualified packaging engineers design thetotal packaging solution. 3 As the properties listed on the reverse suggest, ETHAFOAM 220 offers excellentstrength, resistance to creep under load, vibration and shock absorbency, and waterresistance characteristics. ETHAFOAM 220 is produced with Dow spatented RapidReleasemanufacturing delivers a higherquality Product with improved dimensionalstability and safety. This process technologyincorporates a patented CFC- and HCFC-freeblowing agent system and an accelerated curing system that reduces residual blowingagents in ETHAFOAM products to traceamounts. ETHAFOAM 220 meets the requirements of the Clean Air Act Amendments.

4 It iseasily fabricated, impervious to most chemicals,non-abrasive and performsconsistently over awide range of 220 is also reusable and completely recyclable because it is made of non-crosslinked 220 polyethylene foam hassuccessfully passed FMVSS 302 flammabilitytesting, conducted according to the Codeof Federal Regulations, CFR 49.
