Infection prevention and control depends on implementing proper techniques as you provide personal care. You should always wear gloves when helping with tasks that involve a resident’s body secretions or excretions. This includes assistance with toileting, oral hygiene, bathing, and caring for a resident with skin sores, a rash, or a wound.
