Turn the instrument 90o and level the bubble using the third foot screw. Turn back 90o, adjust if required as before. Turn 180o, the bubble should be central within the torpedo level if in adjustment. Pass Fail Optical Plummet Check Level and plumb the instrument as normal over a cross or nail. Turn the instrument 180o whilst simultaneously observing the plummet If the point remains central throughout the rotation then the instrument is in adjustment.
