Item Requirement Level, Paved Road (Dynamometer Test Course, Perryman 3-mile Straightaway, Phillips Army Airfield) A straight, level, paved road with a lane width of not less than meters (m) ( feet (ft)), a longitudinal gradient 1 percent, and a super elevation of 2 percent. Munson Test Area (MTA) Standard Fuel Course This course consists of a combination of gravel and paved surfaces, and longitudinal grades, and has historically been used to measure and compare vehicle fuel consumption.
