ABOUT THE Elevator COMPANY About The Elevator Company The Elevator Company s philosophy began in 1964 with the founder Larry Hyde, who began selling basic stairway elevators, vertical platform lifts, and durable medical equipment. Larry maintained the attitude that no matter what products were sold, people were his business, and that people deserved the highest level of service and quality.
4 As the market grew and evolved, Larry divested the company of all medical products, and in 1993 focused specifically on Residential Elevator systems, continuing to apply the same philosophy. In 1994, Matthew Hyde (Larry s son), joined the company as a partner. Today both very active in the daily operations of the company. Since 1993, they have dedicated their resources to the expansion of the Residential Elevator industry. The company has grown tremendously, acquiring four companies in the last three years, and opening a total of eight company owned stores throughout the country. The Elevator Company is now operating on a national scale, utilizing a registered and highly qualified dealer network while adding company stores on a regular basis.
