1 rose & Joe Example case Studies rose Smyth rose is 89 years young. She was married but her husband of fifty years died 10 years ago. She has 9. children, all live in the area. She was a homemaker who spent most of her time raising her children. When they had grown and moved on she took a part time job at a local quilting shop. She was able to get a discount on fabric to continue her hobby. She enjoys all the holidays, birthdays, showers, weddings, births and family festivities. She also travels to see family members as two of her sons work for a major airline. rose loves to travel with her church group and friends. She has accumulated lots of family pictures that she would like to scrapbook and some of her grandchildren are helping her do so. She also was taught by the grandchildren how to use the computer and kept in touch with the family as well as played games on Facebook with them and on her own.
2 She plays solitaire with cards to keep her hands nimble, does the daily crossword puzzle and watches some favorite TV shows. rose is an avid Yankees fan. She is a nurturer and enjoys meeting new people. Joe Jones Joe worked as an accountant at a local manufacturing plant. He has worked there for over 40 years. At 73. years of age, he is still married and has two sons. Both sons live out of state, one with a family and the other is a bachelor. His wife visits daily, often eating lunch and supper with him. He played bocce in a league for years. On the weekends he would go to his get away cottage on a nearby lake, where he puttered around, fished, hunted, snow mobiles and boats. He always had something to do . His wife would join him at the cottage. He is an avid reader, likes to play cards with the neighbors, and grills at the cottage and at home.
3 Joe also enjoys football and is a fan of the Chicago Bears as he never misses a game. He attended college and got his degree in accounting. He was also a Boy Scout leader and Pee Wee coach when his sons were growing up. After retirement, he volunteered to help people with their taxes and kept the books at the Elks Club where he was a lifetime member.
