1 NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY 1973 SESSION CHAPTER 795 HOUSE BILL 1346 AN ACT TO AMEND SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT CERTAIN EMPLOYEES AND OFFICERS OF THE CLERKS OF SUPERIOR COURT MAY ACCUMULATE AN UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF SICK LEAVE FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES WHEN THEY BECOME STATE EMPLOYEES. The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: Section 1. (a) is hereby amended by deleting from line 8 the words "not exceeding earned sick leave in an amount totaling 30 work days" and inserting in lieu thereof "without any maximum limitation thereof. Sec. 2. (b) is hereby amended by deleting from lines 6 and 7 the words "not exceeding earned sick leave in an amount totaling 30 work days" and inserting in lieu thereof "without any maximum limitation thereof. Sec. 3. Any employee covered by who retires on or after the ratification of this act shall be given credit for all sick leave accumulated at the time of the ratification of this act.
2 Sec. 4. This act shall become effective upon ratification. In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 24th day of May, 1973.
